This creepy, slow burn sci-fi short follows Jeff, a washed-up cyclist, who gets a job requiring him to bike alone in a concrete room for hours.
“Where do the wires go?” “Don’t ask questions.”
I was asked to be a part of the project once the pre-production process was behind schedule, just a month before shooting. I weathered the storm by staying meticulously organized and gathering all necessary resources from eccentric locations, and crew members, to hard-to-find props. I helped oversee and coordinate the entire production process, from building a large set for three days to executing an 11 day shoot on a sound stage and other locations. I brought the film from being on the verge of cancellation on the eve of the first day of shooting to being accepted and screened at the HollyShorts Film Festival in 2016.
The Job premiered at the Academy-Award qualifying festival, Hollyshorts, in the world famous Mann’s Chinese Theater on Hollywood Blvd. Additionally, the short also screened at the Anthology Film Archives as part of the New Filmmakers Festival.
